WebMD - Connection Between Physician and Woman
August 17th 2009 20:06
There is a tool that very few of my friends realized was part of the WebMD interface. This tool connects the doctors found on the website to the potential patient. The cool thing is the patient never has to leave the website in order to send out an email to the doctor.
When I tried to use the tool, I received a call from the doctor in about 10 days. This is a bit longer than I expected to have to wait. Sure, the tool is cool and there is a convenience associated with it, but the wait is not something I would assume every patient would be patient for.
How to Use the WebMD Connect Tool
This is not the official name of the tool, but I rename lots of things in my blogs. The connect tool is located on the official information page of many doctors listed on WebMD. All the user has to do is click for more information or to make an appointment and then fill out some information that will be sent to the doctor.
I have no idea what happens on the other end, but evidently the information is found by the office because I received a call - though after way too long.
There is no exchange of personal information via the web contact form, just the name, address and phone number that most of us are willing to give out for the chance to win a 52" plasma TV.
