Phenomenal Women Diet

Phenomenal woman,
That's me.”
This is an excerpt from Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou. She is describing how we all are phenomenal women, no matter what we look like in the eyes of society. So I have decided to start a new diet to assist all of the phenomenal women out there like myself. The diet plan is the Phenomenal Woman Diet plan. No I am not a doctor nor do I have a degree in nutrition. What I am is a self confident woman who wants to lose weight not for society, but to have a long outstanding, phenomenal life.


What I did first was to use what is in abundance on mother earth to get a jump start. I drink water. I was bound by sugar drink this and diet cola that instead of a healthy alternative. I don’t drink the required amount either. The status quo tells me to drink whatever amount per day. I simply take the advice and double it, or more depending on the day.

The second phase of our diet is to make wise choices with foods which are healthiest for us. Vegetables, whole grains, fruits, and dairy are essential. What we need to take this to the next level is to understand moderation. An entire cheesecake may contain dairy, but do we need to consume the entire cheesecake? If this makes you feel phenomenal, then yes. But remember moderation.

The final phase is to look at yourself everyday and to reinforce your belief in yourself! We may not all be a size 2 or be able to fit into the jeans we fit into in high school, but one thing we all can say is we all are “Phenomenal Women”!
