It's a symbol of Medicine, in the East, but this is a very serious topic, it's primitive and barbaric and we have a debate going about equality of the sexes. It makes me shudder.

I have too much to say about this and too little time. Suffice it to say, I have seen the lasting damage of FGM and I am very glad a move has been made to ban it at long last. I just hope it doesn't continue unlawfully, or the death and complication rate may even rise.
